Jose Moran, born in Mexico on September 21, 1948, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was a resident of Manteca for 41 years.
Jose is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Maria Moran; his four sons, Jose Moran (Evette), Felipe Moran (Kami), Gabriel Moran, and Pedro Moran; and his many beloved grandchildren, Aiden Aidan, Azdaia, Marisa, Felipe, Diego, Mateo, Beau, Esai, Noelle, Gabriella Gabrielle, Jesse, Ashley-Nicole, Zoey, Riann, Jasmine, and Marcus. He was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren: Ruach, Eden, Lydia, Rosemarie, Dante, Dominic, Connor, Melody Mae, Liam, Ezekiel, Mason, Nora, Olivia, and Malakai.
Jose proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he built a strong and dedicated career as a welder, working for military contractors including FMC and Northrop Grumman.
He grew up in San Jose, California, where he attended Abraham Lincoln High School, graduating in 1967. During his school years, Jose was a talented track star and developed a lifelong love for sports. He was a devoted fan of the Raiders where he never missed a chance to cheer on his beloved team. Above all, Jose found his greatest joy in spending time with his family. He loved fishing, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories with those he loved. Known for his generous heart, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Jose had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh and smile.
Jose will be remembered for his kindness, his strength, and his unconditional love for his family.
