The Playbox Ensemble at East Union High School announces its production of the charmingly, almost romantic comedy “Almost, Maine”, which runs Dec. 1 and 8 at 3 p.m. and Dec. 2 and 9 at 7 p.m. in the black box theatre.

“Almost, Maine,” a play by John Cariani, is fast becoming one the most produced new plays to sweep into the hearts across the nation.  The action takes place on a cold, clear, moonless night in the middle of winter, all is not quite what it seems in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine.

As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, Almost’s residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. Love is lost, found, and confounded.  But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend — almost — in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.

Purchase your tickets for “Almost, Maine” at the Box Office at East Union High School.  Seating for the performances is limited.  Tickets are $ 3 for the 3 p.m .showing and $ 7 for the 7 p.m. showing.  It is the perfect, heart warmer for a cold, winter night.
