Speaking of sand and dirt, both are now permanent features on the sidewalk on the south side of Yosemite Avenue under the Highway 99 bridge.

A contractor doing the landscaping changed the cut of the soil prompting the dirt to spread onto the sidewalk whenever the irrigation is working.

City crews responded to a previous complaint and removed the dirt. It returned within almost a week and has been there ever since.
