Jonotay Thomas, 19, the fourth suspect in the Oct. 16 murder in the 200 block of Jessie Avenue,  was arrested Wednesday morning while standing on his front porch in the city of Cotati by a Sonoma County Violent Crimes unit without incident.
Manteca Police detective Steve Schluer said the home invasion style murder was not gang related. The three men already arrested and jailed were Ryann Matlock, 19, Kenneth Gatisor, Jr., 23, and Tito Jones, Jr., 20,  with an apparent motive of stealing marijuana. They were from Alameda, San Pablo and Sacramento.
Timothy Spino, 29, was killed in the late evening confrontation. He left behind his girlfriend and a 2-year-old daughter. Three of the men allegedly broke into the front door of his home as his girlfriend and son watched and then shot him.  First responders attempted to revive Spino before he was transported to San Joaquin General Hospital in French Camp where he reportedly passed away.
Schluer said he and other Manteca detectives had been working in collaboration with the crime unit and the county probation department in Sonoma County since Thomas’ girlfriend was on a post release community release supervision.
The men are currently in custody in the San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.
Thomas will appear in the Manteca Branch of the San Joaquin County Superior Court Friday for his arraignment and is expected to be tried later at the Stockton Courthouse.
