Graduation 2009 season kicking off with Calla High, Lindbergh on May 29

The Manteca Unified School District is gearing up for the upcoming graduation / promotion events.

The commencement exercises officially kick off on Friday, May 29, with students at Calla High, Lindbergh Educational Center and Weston Ranch’s New Vision Educational Center receiving their diplomas.

On Monday, June 1, eighth-grade students at Joshua Cowell, French Camp, Golden West, Neil Hafley, Lathrop, Sequoia, Shasta, and Veritas will be honored.

The promotion exercises continue on Tuesday, June 2, with students at Stella Brockman, Brock Elliott, Lincoln, George McParland, Mossdale, New Haven, Nile Garden, Joseph Widmer and Woodward receiving recognition.

On Thursday, June 4, the traditional tune of Pomp and Circumstance will welcome the Class of 2009 at both Manteca High and Weston Ranch High.

The commencement ceremonies at East Union High and Sierra High are planned for Friday, June 5.

In addition, eighth-grade students at Great Valley and George Komure will take part in the year-round promotion exercises on Wednesday, June 24.

Eighth-grade students at August Knodt will officially close out the graduation / promotion festivities on Thursday, June 25.
