• KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION IN MANTECA UNIFIED APRIL 11: Registration for kindergarten in Manteca Unified School District will be held Wednesday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Parents must register their children at the school where they will attend.

Below are the school district’s requirements which must be provided at the time of registration:

•proof of birth as evidence of age (must be five years of age on or before Nov. 1 of the current year),

•written evidence of a physical examination on or after Feb. 10, 2012,

•proof of residency (i.e., PG&E, telephone, or water bill), and,

•written evidence of up-to-date immunizations with month and year of each vaccine dose signed or stamped by clinic, physician, or nurse.



• NILE GARDEN CRAB FEED JAN. 28 AT MRPS: Tickets are still available for the 42nd annual Nile Garden Crab Feed to be held Saturday, Jan 28, at the MRPS Hall on Grant Street in downtown Manteca.

Cost per ticket is $38.50 which will cover the dinner menu consisting of cracked crab, baked potato, salad, bread and wine. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for a social hour, followed by dinner at 7 p.m. After dinner, there will be raffle, music and dancing from 9 p.m. until midnight. One must be 21 years old to attend.
