Ripon Unified received a generous donation of books.
This came compliments of Clinton McCausland American Legion Post 190 and the Auxiliary.
The 112-page book ‘Indivisible — The Story of Our Flag’ depicts the history of Old Glory, according to Adjunct James Moore.
“(Legion) members will deliver the set of books to each school,” he said at the school board meeting held at Ripon Elementary School.
Moore, who is also the chair for Measure G Citizens’ Oversight Committee, presented copies of the book to RUSD principals Mike Larson (Ripon Elementary), Mona Ogden (Park View), Lisa Fereria (Weston), Dante Alvarez (Ripona), Cheryl Griffiths (Colony Oak), Lance Morrow (Ripon High) and Sergei Samborski (Harvest High).
Each of the school sites will receive 35 copies of the patriotic book, Moore added.
