The 18th African American Genealogy Seminar will be held on Saturday, March 9  

You’re invited to attend the Family History Virtual Seminar from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.. 

The theme for this year is; Our People, Our Stories, Our Courage. The keynote speaker is Ari Wilkins.  She was recently awarded the Lloyd Bockstruck Distinguished Service Award by the Dallas Genealogical Society for her outstanding contributions to the genealogical community on a national level. 

The Mistress of Ceremony is Karen Massie. 

The seminar will be featuring class topics such as; finding native Americans in African American families, African American Church records, Louisiana Research, Free people of Color, Caribbean Origins, DNA Research, the underground railroad, Freedman’s Bank Records, Black Fraternalism & genealogy, done the census, now what? 

There are many other classes available, and many of these classes are new.
