The City of Manteca and the Manteca Police Department will host a celebration Monday of the 250th Birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps.
This legacy of courage, discipline, and service to our nation will take place at the Council Chambers, 1001 W. Center St., from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
All are invited.
The ceremony will include a traditional cake cutting featuring the oldest and youngest members of the Marines in attendance.
Mustache Bash
The third annual Mustache Bash will take place Monday at Brethren Brewing Company, 220 N. Main St., Manteca.
The event hosted by the Manteca Fire Department is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., offering up a fun evening full of mustaches and beards for those in attendance. Included will be good food and good brew.
The fundraiser will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

TTCC volunteer training
The Thomas Toy Community Center at 602 E. Yosemite Ave. will be hosting another Volunteer Training Workshop on Thursday, Nov. 13, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The workshop is open to those looking to make a difference in the community by helping out at the teen-based community center for seventh and eighth graders.
