The annual Mud Run on the Farm 5K obstacle-course run takes place Saturday, May 19, at Dell’Osso Family Farm, Manthey Road and Interstate 5 in Lathrop.
The 5K course features 21 obstacles, designed to be difficult, but certainly not impossible. It also promises to be an outrageous good time. If there’s an obstacle that’s too much for you, go around. No shame there. Personal safety is the most important thing. But completion of the obstacles is required to win fast time.
Dell’Osso Family Farm will be donating a portion of the proceeds to benefit The American Cancer Society and other local charity and non-profit organizations.
Mudders will receive a commemorative T-shirt and finisher’s medal, post-race “Beer Garden” with one free beer ticket (only for Mudders 21 years and older), plenty of prizes, and trophies. In addition, parking is free for participants. Entry fee is now $75, and entrants can register at mudonthefarm.com.
Because of the large number of participants, the Mud Run must start in waves. The first wave goes off at 8 a.m. Participants select their wave time during the registration process. If mudders want to run with a friend or group, they need to be sure to book at the same time or have one person purchase all the individual tickets. Waves are capped at 300 runners. It’s recommend that participants arrive at least an hour before their wave time begins.
Wave times 8a.m., 8:20 a.m., 8:40 a.m., 9 a.m., 9:20 a.m., 9:40 a.m., 10 a.m., 10:20 a.m., 10:40 a.m., 11a.m., 11:20 a.m., 11:40 a.m., and noon. The following may be added: 12:20 pm., 12:40 p.m., and 1 p.m.
Time-slots are filling up – some are already sold out.
Each wave consists of both men and women from every age group. You may register for any available wave.
Early race-packet pick-up will be held on Thursday, May 17, and Friday, May 18, both days run from 3 to 7 p.m., at the Dell’Osso Family Farm Country Store.
On race day packets need to be picked up at least an hour before wave time.
