The Ripon Planning Commission could be looking at two fast-track items at Monday's 6 p.m. meeting in the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave.

Planning Director Ken Zuidervaart noted that the Diamond Pet Foods' request to add a fourth construction line within its existing facility and the Happy Daze RV Sales & Service Center are two projects looking for that green light.

"They want to get moving as soon as possible," he said of the RV dealership that's looking to merge two lots totaling 9.79 acres at 752 Kamps Way and 1441 Canal Boulevard,

In order to do so, the Planning Commission will be required to approve the Major Site Plan Permit and Lot Merger for Happy Daze RV.

Zuidervaart mentioned that Commissioners would have to certify the final Environmental Impact Report, and adopt both the Mitigation Monitoring & Reporting Program and Major Site Permit for Diamond Pet Foods Expansion Project.

After that, it will be a matter of those at Diamond Pet Foods ordering the equipment necessary for the installation of the fourth production line, he said.

The agenda also includes:

*A Major Site Review for Kaizen River Development to construct four buildings totaling 48,900 square feet along Doak Boulevard between Vera Avenue and South Acacia Avenue, an area zoned for Light Industrial.

*A Major Site Review for the City of  Ripon Public Works Maintenance Facility at a partially developed City-owned property at 444 Doak Boulevard. The Ripon City Council recently discussed plans to construct a 12,500 square foot public works building in the Heavy Industrial area, replacing the nearby aging corporate yard.

The meeting is open to the first 25 people looking to attend, and will also be available via video at www.cityofripon.org.
