Manteca Spring Carnival opens today at Orchard Valley

A Butler Amusement ride at a 2017 carnival conducted at Orchard Valley.

The Manteca Spring Carnival starts today and runs through April 7.

The carnival will take place at the Orchard Valley Center near Bass Pro Shops off of Atherton Drive.

It features rides and attractions from Butler Amusements.

Hours are 5 to 11 p.m. today and Friday, April 5; noon to 11 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday as well as Saturday, April 6; Monday, April 1, through Thursday, April 4, from 5 to 10 p.m.; and Sunday, April 7, from noon to 10 p.m.

Admission is free.
Unlimited ride wristbands are $32 while tickets are $1 each. It takes 3 to 6 tickets depending upon the ride and 10 plus tickets for each game played.

 

Easter celebration today

Prestige Senior Living is staging an Easter celebration is today from 3 to 5 p.m.

The Prestige event includes a mini farmers market, live entertainment, kids photos with the Easter Bunny, live rabbits to pet, an Easter egg hunt, a planting table, egg races, raffles every 15 minutes and more.

Prestige Senior Living is at 1130 Empire Avenue off of East Louise Avenue east of Highway 99.

Museum Easter event

The Manteca Historical Society “Easter Eggs-travaganza” is planned for Saturday, March 30, in the parking lot of the Manteca Historical Museum, 600 W. Yosemite Ave., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Admission to the “Easter Eggs-travaganza” is free. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Egg hunts are planned for children ages 3 to 6 and for those ages 7 through 10.

Among the games and activities will be “Pin the Tail on the Bunny,” “Find the Egg in the Hay,” “Easter Bonnet Contest,” and the “Easter Egg Parade Walk”

As for food, “Easter Egg-travaganza” will be selling a hotdog meal with chips and soda for $5. Free popcorn will be on hand for those in attendance.

In addition, the museum and gift shop will be open for viewing.

The Manteca Historical Museum operates strictly through volunteers and memberships. Cost for the latter is $15 per year and $5 per year for a student membership.
