Four teaching professionals honored for 2023-24

Four teaching professionals have been selected as Manteca Unified School District Educators of the Year.

They are:

*Maria Franco, French Camp Elementary School teacher as Primary Educator of the Year.

*Maria Ravelo, Mossdale Elementary School teacher as Junior High Educator of the Year.

*Patricia Gonzales, Weston Ranch High School teacher as Secondary Educator of the Year.

*Shelley Kulm, Manteca Unified School District School Psychologist as Support Services Educator of the Year.

The four selected for the 2022-2024 school year honors have directly impacted student success and safety.

They  were nominated by their supervisors and selected by a committee of executive leadership that carefully reviewed each nomination.

Maria Franco’s ability to motivate students and create innovative lessons has been an inspiration to her colleagues over the years. She genuinely looks out for her students' well-being, takes the time to address their hopes and fears, lifts them so that they believe in themselves, and can find the positives in any situation.” – French Camp Staff

Through her optimism and positive attitude, and the belief that every student can learn, Maria instills confidence in her students daily.  It comes as no surprise that students in her class feel safe, respected, and supported.
