Remembrance ceremony for those who died 9-11 is on Sunday at VFW Hall

A Ceremony of Remembrance is planned for Sunday, Sept. 11, for at the Manteca VFW Hall on Moffat Boulevard.

The public is encouraged to attend to honor and remember those who perished on that day.

The ceremony begins at noon.

The American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Manteca Police and Fire departments will join together to present the event.

Tribute will be paid to all Gold Star Families present.

Following the ceremony, The Not Forgotten Foundation will be providing hot dogs, drinks and watermelon at no charge to those in attendance.

On Sunday, volunteers with the Manteca Chamber of Commerce will also be placing 2,400 American flags along Manteca’s streets in honor of those who died.
