The kick-off event for the 2011 Manteca Relay for Life is set for Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the Sierra High cafeteria, 1700 Thomas St., starting at 7 p.m.
The 24-hour event that raises funds for the American Cancer society in its bid to find a cure for cancer takes place on April 30 and May 1 at the Sierra High track.
The kick-off event will provide information on how to organize teams of 10 to 15 participants and what to expect at the Relay for Life.
