Looking for a place to watch the Super Bowl?
Chez Shari and other places in town will be open Sunday and tuned in to the National Football League’s title game featuring the New England Patriots and the New York Giants.
Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis kicks off at 3:30 p.m. The game is a rematch of four years ago when quarterback Eli Manning led the Giants to an improbable victory over the Patriots. New York spoiled New England’s bid at a perfect season.
Chez Shari at the Manteca Park Golf Course, 305 N. Union Road, welcomes people of all ages – free of charge – with the big game being shown on the high-definition digital video projector on the 10-foot screen.
Doors open at 2:30.
Free food (a choice of spaghetti & meat balls, hot link, hot dogs, polish dogs, and much more) with the purchase of a beverage will be offered.
Contact Chez Shari at (209)825-8524 and (209) 518-3794 for more information.
At Rookies Sports Bar and Grill inside the Manteca Bowl and Family Fun Center, 1251 E. Yosemite Ave., the Super Bowl can be seen on the two large 10-foot TV screens.
DJ Todd Davis of Sound Express promises to enhance the game by airing high-quality audio to capture every call, whistle, and hard hits. He’s scheduled to get the place jumping at about 2 o’clock.
A drawing for free prizes will take place each quarter. Included will be a chance at a 16-inch pizza or a pitcher of beer or soda.
In addition, NFL team logo shirts will be randomly shot into the crowd.
Rookies also allows for children to watch the game or play arcade games, bowl or enjoy the batting cages.
