Three cars tangled up in an intersection collision at 11:22 a.m. Wednesday that sent one woman to an area hospital and another was cited for not having a driver’s license.

Elaine Lee, 49, of Manteca was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with a complaint of pain, Manteca Police officers said.  She was driving a 2008 Nissan Sentra when the three cars collided at Yosemite Avenue and Union Road, blocking the intersection for nearly an hour.

SHARP police volunteers and a code enforcement officer responded to the scene to direct traffic to relieve traffic officers.

Nidia Gonzalez, 22, also of Manteca, was driving a 2001 Ford Taurus.  Police cited her for driving her vehicle without a driver’s license.  Kristine Guest, 22, of Stockton was driving a white 2009 Toyota Corolla that sustained major damage.  Its side airbags deployed in the crash.
