Friends of the Manteca Library canceled last month’s annual book sale.

But fear not, the group has an ongoing book sale at the Manteca Branch Library, offering plenty of hardcover and paperback books in good condition at outstanding discount prices.

A hardcover, for example, goes for 50 cent apiece while the paperbacks are priced at 25 cent each or five for $1.

“We can always use more donated books,” Friends of the Library member Michelle Zachlod said at Wednesday’s meeting.

The location of the book sale is at the north end of the main entrance of the local branch, 320 W. Center St.

Proceeds from the book sale go to the Friends of the Library expenditures, in turn, providing entertainment to youngsters including the annual visits of Sparkles the Clown and Python Ron.
