The University of Arizona, a premier public research university, has accepted Austin Pillon of Ripon into the UA 2010 freshman class.
Austin has been accepted into the selective UA Honors College, and has declared physics major through the College of Science. Austin is currently a senior at Ripon High School.
In choosing the UA, Austin will be joining approximately 7,000 other outstanding freshmen from across the U.S. and 119 countries.
Although Austin had multiple college options, his final decision to attend the UA came down to his campus visit. During that time, Austin toured the campus and also participated in a course lecture.
