The Ripon Local Farmers Market kicks off on May 30.

Every Thursdays through Aug. 9, from 4 to 7 p.m., Historical Main Street between Stockton and Norse avenues promises to be the place where vendors, live music, local folks and visitors come to meet.

The market is open to certified and non-certified vendors as well as other specialty items, according to City of Ripon organizers.

However, spaces are limited with those interested asked to pay a member’s fee by May 23. Included must be the appropriate documents and proof of insurance.

Cost is $100 and includes four weekly stall fees or $175 for eight weekly stall fees. Applications are available at

Meanwhile, the focus of the Farmers Market continues to be promoting fresh and locally grown produce from San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties.

Last year’s Farmers Market marked the return to downtown. The previous location was the parking lot in the former Mar-Val Food Stores that’s now home to Dollar General.

In addition, organizers are looking for bands interested in performing at this year’s events.
