Ripon council getting update on Mistlin complex

Work continues to take place at Mistlin Sports Complex as elected leaders are making sure to take care of the billing.

On Tuesday, the Ripon City Council is scheduled to make payments to O.C. Jones & Sons, Inc., Neil O. Anderson and Associates, and HCS Engineering for their work on the softball fields. They also will receieve an update on progress.

Once completed, Mistlin Sports Complex will feature four new softball fields around the signature water tower. Restrooms and concession facilities are also part of the plan.

Ripon hopes to make Mistlin the premier facilities in Northern California.

Council, meanwhile, will look to pay the Stockton electrical engineering firm of HCS Engineering, Inc. ($683), the Lodi civil engineering firm of Neil O. Anderson and Associates ($1,254) and contractor O.C. Jones & Sons ($308,934).

In other agenda items:

•Council members will look into passing a resolution that orders the City Engineers to prepare the annual report for the City of Ripon Lighting District.

•They’ll also order City Engineers to prepare the annual report for the Main Street Landscape Maintenance District.

•Elected leaders, in addition, could pass resolutions that orders City Engineers to prepare annual reports for Boesch-Kingery Estates, the Country Wood Unit No. 2, Zumstein Estates subdivisions, Dutch Meadows, Farmland Estates, Jacobs Landing, Carolina’s Landscape Maintenance District, and Cornerstone 1 Landscape Maintenance District.
