Construction may snarl Sacramento traffic flow

SACRAMENTO (AP) — Repairs starting today at the convergence of three major freeways in Northern California could cause massive traffic delays for vehicles passing through the state capital. California Highway Patrol Officer Mike Bradley says hour-long delays are possible on Highway 50 through Sacramento, which links the capital to South Lake Tahoe. Officials are urging residents to use alternate routes and mass transit to reduce traffic on the section under construction.

In his new variety special, “Brad Paisley Thinks He’s Special,” airing Dec. 3 on ABC, the country star allows himself to be the punchline in a number of skits with celeb pals including Peyton Manning, Carrie Underwood, the Jonas Brothers and Tim McGraw.
