Arden E. Anderson, 94, passed away Dec. 13, 2009 in Manteca.

He was born Sept. 29, 1915 in Haskell County, Kansas.

Arden was married twice and preceded in death by Fayleen Anderson and Velma Anderson.

Arden is survived by children Polly Cooper and husband Jim of Manteca, Gwen Doyle of Antioch (step-daughter), Rodney Crismore of Antioch (step-son), and Travis F. Crismore of Antioch (step-son). He was preceded in death by Doyle Crismore  (step-son).

He is also survived by siblings Alvin Anderson of Yuba City, Donald Anderson of Kansas, and Dorothy Patterson of Ripon. He was preceded in death by siblings Albert Anderson, Vera Gorrell, and Neva Nelson.

Arden was also survived by grandchildren Matt Cooper, Kassandra Cooper, Kevin Cooper, and Joyce Cooper all of Manteca; 11 step-grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Arden retired in 1978 after 11 years of service as accountant at Doctors Hospital of Manteca.  He was a member of the Nazarene Church in Manteca and wrote “Letter to the Editor” for many years to the Manteca Bulletin.  He enjoyed bowling and he was an avid San Francisco Giants and Sacramento Kings fan.  Arden loved the Lord.  He was a righteous man.  He loved attending church whenever the doors were open.

Arrangements are under the direction of P.L Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca, where visitation takes place Thursday, Dec. 17, from noon to 1 p.m. and chapel services at 1 p.m.

Final resting place is the East Union Cemetery, 1035 N. Union Road, Manteca.
