Arnold J. Dariz, 80, entered into rest on June 24, 2009 in Manteca. He was born on February 21, 1929 in Ohio. He was a resident of Manteca for the past 10 years and previously of Linden for 18 years.

Dariz is survived by his wife of 46 years Joy Dariz of Manteca. His children are Dominic Dariz of Salt Lake City, UT, Mark Dariz and wife Susan of Atascadero, Deana Thornton and husband Michael of Manteca, Katherine Reynard and husband Charles of Cleveland, OH, and Frank Dariz of Cleveland, OH. He has 8 grandchildren; Alyssa Thornton of Manteca, Timothy Thornton of Manteca, Amanda Dariz of Atascadero, Christopher Dariz of Atascadero, Dominic Dariz II of Tennessee, Tisha DeMeo of Cleveland, OH, Andrew Szilay of Cleveland, OH, and Anthony Dariz of Las Vegas, NV.

Arnold retired after 35 years from the railroad as a yard crew foreman. He was truly devoted to his family and treasured each moment he spent with them. His companion Shih Tzu dog Bella was always at his side. He loved watching baseball with his wife as they both followed the Oakland A’s and the S.F. Giants. Family and friends would commonly find Arnold tinkering with his antique cars on any beautiful afternoon. With Arnold; laughing was always a necessity, especially with his funny sense of humor. To remember Arnold is to remember him as a loving man with great spirits. He will be deeply missed.   

Mr. Dariz’s services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 29, at 11 a.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N.
