Charlotte B. (Foss) Smith, age 72 , entered into rest on January 30, 2012 in Modesto, CA. She was born on October 18, 1940 in Lathrop. She is preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, John B. Smith, her parents and two brothers.

Charlotte is survived by her children John Smith of Oakdale and Sharon Torres of Manteca, four grandchildren, Max Torres of Santa Barbara, John Torres of Dallas, TX, Elizabeth Torres of Charlestown, WV, and Sara Torres of Manteca. She was blessed with five great grandchildren.

Charlotte enjoyed knitting, visiting neighbors and going to lunch with her friends. She was a member of A Pioneer Lathrop Family. Charlotte was Valedictorian of the Class of 1958 for Manteca High School. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and her children, she loved her family. Charlotte will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Arrangements for Charlotte B. Smith are under the direction of PL Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca. A Chapel service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 11:00 a.m. at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Parkview Cemetery, Manteca.
