Eleanor Hall
August 30, 1923-October 13, 2014
Eleanor Hall bw

Eleanor Hall died peacefully on the morning of October 13, 2014.  She was born August 30, 1923 in Everett, Massachusetts to Italian immigrants Agostino and Irene Scenna.  Eleanor was the eighth of eleven children.  As an infant, she survived a house fire that took the lives of five of her siblings.  She married World War II veteran Paul Hall in 1945, and they later moved to northern California where they raised three children.
After her retirement from Washington Hospital in Fremont, Eleanor and Paul moved to Manteca.  They were avid snowbirds and enjoyed traveling throughout the west in their RV.  Wherever Eleanor went she made a great many friends, and is fondly remembered as a long-time resident of the San Joaquin River Club, and a Pink Lady at Doctors Hospital.  Her favorite activity however, was spending time with family.
Eleanor is survived by her children Dennis Hall, Paulette Pierce, and Richard Hall, grandchildren, Nola Pierce and Christopher Hall, and sonsa-in-law Scott Pierce and Don Edwards.
The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her at Manteca Care and Rehabilitation Center during her illness.  Eleanor requested a private burial.  Donations may be made in her name to the Arthritis Foundation (www.arthritis. org).
