Frances Myrle Stroud, 96, of Stockton, passed away September 13, 2014. Born June 13, 1918 at Dameron Hospital to Lloyd “Bud” and Mary Louise Graham, Frances lived in Stockton most of her life.
   Frances worked as a duplicating assistant at San Joaquin Delta College for many years, and served as the President of Delta College Chapter of California School employees. She also served as President of the Stockton Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association and was honored to be selected as their Woman of the Year in 1980. Frances devoted much of her time throughout her life to the Order of the Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Matron and Associate Worthy Matron for the Valley Oaks Chapter 50.
   Frances leaves behind her sons, Stevan (Laurianne) of Ripon, and Grant Stroud of Stockton, and grandchildren, Scott (Michele) Stroud of Anna, Texas, Shannon (Todd) Larsen of Sacramento, Clayton (Kayleigh) Stroud of  Burson, and Jared Stroud of Bellevue, Nebraska.
She will also be missed by her six great-grandchildren, Caitlin Stroud, Giuseppe Stroud, John Stroud, Tallulah Stroud, all of Anna, Texas, and Grace Larsen and Jack Larsen of Sacramento, and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
   Frances is preceded in death by her sister and best friend, Henrietta “Sis” Graham Mason. Memorial Services will be held at
1 p.m., Sunday, September 28, 2014, at Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Lane, in Lodi. Interment will be private at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi. Please sign the online guest book at www.cherokeememorial.com.
