It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Frank D. Girardi on March 20, 2024, following a brief illness.

Frank was the devoted husband of sixty years to the late Barbara Girardi, and their enduring love served as an inspiration to all who witnessed it. Frank was the proud father of Dawn, Diana and husband Stein, and Frank and wife Denise. His unwavering support and guidance shaped their lives, instilling in them values that will endure for generations to come. His role as an adoring grandfather to Grace, Faith, Alexander, and Ava brought immeasurable joy to his life. Frank reveled in their laughter, celebrated their milestones, and showered them with boundless affection.

Frank was born in New York City on March 20, 1936, to Frank and Frances Girardi. After graduating from high school, he served in the army for six years, both in active duty and reserves. Frank married the love of his life, Barbara, on April 4, 1959. He began his professional career with the USDA as an import inspector and later a compliance officer and federal investigator. His dedication took him and his family to California, where he supervised operations in several west coast states. After 30 years of service and numerous awards, Frank retired from the USDA.

Frank enjoyed playing baseball, tennis, and golf. He cherished family camping trips and fishing adventures, as well as coaching several of his children’s sports teams. In retirement, he remained active on the golf course and on the sidelines of his grandchildren’s sporting events. An avid reader and great conversationalist, Frank was a true gentleman. Frank will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon.
