Frank E. Thomson, 66, entered into rest on October 11, 2014, in Manteca. He was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Ruth Thomson. He is preceded in death by his parents as well as his sister Barbara Kelley.
Mr. Thomson is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Lorna Thomson. His two children are Clint Thomson and Sarah VanArsdell (Justin). He was blessed by two grandsons, Ryan and Kyle. In addition, Frank has one surviving sister, Bobbie Frisk.
Frank was a resident of Manteca for 64 years, graduating from Manteca High School, class of 1966. After high school Frank proudly served his country through the United Sates Marine Corps. For the past 25 years he has worked in the wholesale plumbing industry, most recently at Ferguson Enterprises of Modesto. He was a member of the America Legion Post 249 & the VFW. Frank loved to tease and was gruff on the outside, but a soft-hearted gentleman on the inside. He enjoyed the simple things in life, the outdoors, hunting, fishing and visiting with friends in his garage. His greatest joy was watching his grandchildren play baseball; he was their biggest fan. Frank will be remembered for his humor, generosity, and for his loyal character. He will be deeply missed.
