Gene Otis Dubois
November 1, 1936 to June 6, 2012
Gen dubios1

Gene Otis DuBois Sr., 75, went home to be with the Lord, June 6, 2012, in Manteca, CA.  He was born November 1, 1936, to the late Orville and Clara DuBois.  In Heaven he joins his loving wife Della and his children:  infant daughter Diane and Gene DuBois Jr., as well as his brother Richard DuBois.

He is survived by his two children, daughter Pamela DuBois and son Michael Steven DuBois and wife Neela DuBois.  Gene was blessed with one grandchild, Annette DuBois.  He has four surviving siblings:  Jim DuBois, Ganell Standridge, Betty Sullivan, and Bobby DuBois.

Gene was a truck driver for 33 years.  He had a passion for old cars, Ford being his favorite.  Gene enjoyed watching football, but was mostly a fan of college teams. He would often go out to watch the local college women’s softball, which was one of his favorite pastimes.  Gene loved his granddaughter dearly as she was the apple of his eye, calling her his little princess.  He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and beloved grandfather.  He will be greatly missed.

Arrangements for Mr. DuBois are under the direction of P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca, CA.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2012, from 9 a.m. to  noon with a Chapel service immediately following.  He will then be laid to rest alongside his wife Della at Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 and E. Harney Lane, Lodi, CA 95240.  For condolences to the family, please visit our website at www.plfryandson.com  and search obituaries
