Geneva Louise Kennedy, 85, entered into rest on December 18, 2012 in Modesto. She was born on August 31, 1927 in Lubbock, Texas. She joins her husband in heaven William Kennedy as well as her sons Jeffery and Bobby Kennedy.

Geneva is survived by her children Paul Kennedy (Teresa) and Cynthia Kennedy. She was blessed with seven grandchildren Tricia Smith (Doug), Chris Kennedy (Kari), Ted Garwood (Jenny), Jason Beier (Kim), Angela Beier, Robert Kennedy and Venica Ftacek and 11 great-grandchildren. She was a sister to James Lackey, Ronnie Lackey and Connie Lackey.

Geneva retired after 45 years of service from Heniz in Tracy, CA.  She loved to cook as she was best known for her home baked bread, pancakes and breakfast that was always made with love. She always occupied herself with canning every type of food imaginable. She loved the outdoors, enjoyed working on the farm, and was known to adventure out on the quads with her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful square dancer and loved to dress like a lady. She enjoyed family times which usually consisted of playing Jack’s, Domino’s, or any type of board game. Christmas time was always a treat at Geneva’s home which always included every type of food followed by a sugar overload. Geneva always had a positive thought about everyone she met. She will be remembered best for her fun, feisty attitude and her zest for life that never went unnoticed. She will be missed.
