Isaac Ovidio Garcia, 78, entered into eternal rest on November 14, 2011, in Stockton, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Cerro, New Mexico, to the late Rufino and Cordilia Garcia of El Rito, New Mexico and resided in Manteca for the past 31 years.   He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend, Virginia Garcia.  He also leaves behind his daughters, Bernadine (Chris) Smith, Esther (Larry) Gilliland, and Diana (Eric Scott) Garcia, and his son, Chris Garcia, all from the Central Valley.  Isaac was blessed with five grandchildren:  Anthony and Andrew Smith, Michael and Marcus Gilliland, and Maya Garcia.

Isaac is preceded in death by his siblings, Julia Garcia, Mary Montgomery and Juan Garcia and his nephew, Brad Jaramillo.  He is survived by his siblings, Dorothy Garcia of Colorado, and Grace Valdez, Eugene Garcia, and Evangeline Jaramillo, of New Mexico and numerous nephews and nieces.

Isaac retired from Tracy Defense Depot in 1993, after spending over 30 years with the federal government.  Isaac enjoyed the simple things in life and his life was devoted to his Catholic faith and his family, especially his grandchildren.  He will be most remembered as a very loving and caring person and will be deeply missed by many.

P.L. Fry & Son of Manteca is honored to be serving the Garcia family. A visitation will be held on Sunday November 20, 2011 at 5:00 pm followed by a rosary at 6:00 pm both held at P.L. Fry & Son 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca. A mass will be held on Monday November 21, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church 505 E. North St. Manteca.
