Jim Schaad, Sr. passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010 at his home in Manteca at the age of 89 years. He was born June 21, 1921 to Edward and Effie (Day) Schaad in Wilseyville, CA. Jim graduated from Calaveras High School in San Andreas and served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He worked as a truck driver for American Forest, retiring after 30 years.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, James E. Schaad, Jr. and wife, Theresa of Manteca, Karl R. Schaad and wife, Doris of Stockton; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry Ann Clark and husband, Ralph of Merrill, OR; daughter, Diane Neiderbrach of Manteca; step-daughters, Linda Norton of Stockton, Valerie Smith and her husband, Charlie of Kauai, HI, Jenney Sparks and her husband, Norman of Stockton; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Friends are invited to attend a visitation Saturday, Nov. 13 from 10to 11a.m. at Daneri Mortuary Chapel in Jackson. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the West Point Cemetery in West Point.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, CA 95204.
