Lorean Anna Doss, 93, Manteca resident for over 21 years, entered into rest at her home on Saturday, March 20. She was born June 12, 1916 in Delta, Colorado, the 4th child born to the late Marion and Cora Wooley. Lorean moved to Fullerton, California, at the age of 2. While living there, she met the love of her life, Odus Doss, while attending church and they married and remained married for 60 years until he passed away in October 2000. Lorean lived independently up until the last couple months of her life. In her younger days, Lorean was involved with sewing, knitting, needlepoint, gardening, bowling, and was an avid dancer. She was a certified cosmetologist, however, the majority of her working years were spent providing daycare out of her home; she loved children.

In heaven, she joins her parents and siblings, Lena Garrison, Ella Mathis, Doris Henson, and Ronald Wooley; her late husband, Odus Doss; and her daughter, Shirley Silva. Lorean is survived by her daughter, Donna Stewart of Union City, and son, Ken Doss of Manteca; 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 10, at 11 a.m. at the Park View Memorial Chapel, 3661 E. French Camp Road, Manteca. Memorial contributions may be designated to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, CA 95204.
