Our beloved Mama, Lupe Garcia, gained her angel wings and went home to be with the Lord in Heaven on February 27, 2019 at the age of 80 years young. She reunited with her loving father Martin Barrientos.         

  Lupe is survived by her beloved husband, Antonio Garcia, her four loving daughters, Rosalie Garcia Bernal (Tracy), Judy Garcia (Robert Zepeda), Antonia Garcia Gutierrez (Peter) and Anita Garcia. She adored her four granddaughters, Ashlie, Anastasia, Alexa and Mia. Lupe then received the greatest gift from God when she became a great-grandmother in 2017 to Audrie Mae. 

    Lupe grew up in Gilroy and at the young age of thirteen received her greatest challenge of taking care of her siblings Mary and Esther. This shaped her into being the loving and caring person everyone has come to know and love. Mama was an amazing cook and known for her delicious banana bread and mouthwatering Spanish rice. She always took care of everyone and no one went home hungry. Lupe was a “lunch lady” for 20 years in the San Jose Unified School District, where she loved feeding and serving all her students. Lupe was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Union Rd., Manteca, CA, held on Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 3:00 p.m. A Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 16200 Cambridge Drive, Lathrop, CA.
