With deep love and faith in God's promise of eternal life, the family of Marlene Valentine Serpa announces her peaceful passing on March 12, 2026, at 8:45 p.m., at her home in Manteca, California, surrounded by love, at the age of 83.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert Serpa; children Edward Wilson, Anthony Wilson, Robert Wilson Jr., and Natalie Serpa; daughter–in–law Jennifer Wilson and the late Casey Crowell–Wilson; grandchildren Jamnes Wilson, Joshua Wilson, Sarah Wilson–Garcia, Thomas Wilson, Timothy Wilson, Cheyenne Wilson–Glendenning, Robert Wilson III, Christopher Serpa, Samuel Serpa, and extended grandchildren David and Corianne Tunstall; and 19 great–grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson Jon Wilson.

She is also survived by siblings Barbara McLean, Tony Valentine, Margaret "Maggie" Govea, Carmen Garza, Frank Valentine, Hilda Madson, and Patricia "Patsie" Rodriguez; preceded in death by brother Salvador "Sal" Rodriguez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Calvary Community Church in Manteca, CA, on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at noon.
