Marvin was born in Illinois to Helen and Merle Drury, both deceased.
He graduated from Bushnell High School and joined the Navy. He was discharged from the Navy in Stockton and he remained in California.
He attended Delta College and earned an AA.  He enjoyed fishing, golfing and watching sports on TV and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He became Catholic in 2001 and was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church of Manteca. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and Sons In Retirement. He retired from Defense Depot Tracy after 32 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Janet; two sons and their families, Gregg and Dona Buckley and their children, Bill and Teresa, Joe and Stacey; Michael and Dana Buckley and their children, Madison and Macy. He is also survived by two daughters, Linda Pinasco and her family of Elk Grove and Jayne Wright and her family of Stockton.   
He will be sorely missed by his family, including relatives in Illinois, many friends, and his little dog, Sassy.  No services will be held at his request. 
 A Memorial Mass will be arranged at a later date. Services provided by Bay Area Cremation of San Joaquin Valley.
