Ned Joel Lucas, 68, entered into rest on February 29, 2012 in Hughson, California. He was born on Valentine ’s Day 1944 to the late Edward and Lucille Lucas.

Ned is survived by his former wife and friend Debbie Carpenter. He has two loving children: Mark Lucas (Crissy), and Melissa Gresser (Phil). He was blessed with three grand-children Shaylee, Mason, and Mariah. He has one surviving brother Ed Lucas.

Ned joined the United States Army and proudly served his country from 1967 – 1969. After the military Ned started work-ing for L.O.F. in Lathrop for 13 years. In the late 80’s Ned decided to go into business for himself owning and operating Manteca Dry Ice for over 20 years. Ned was a simple man who loved playing the drums. He enjoyed music as he loved listening to the classic’s from the jukebox. He was a caring man with a giving heart. His greatest joys in life were his grand-children. He loved enter-taining his grandchildren from bug catching to play-ing outside or just sitting enjoying each other’s com-pany. Ned’s loving spirit will never be forgotten.

P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Lucas family. Aservice will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 11:00 a.m. at P.L. Fry & Son, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca.
