Neisje (Nancy) Van Duyn, a resident of Ripon passed away on Thursday at Merrill Gardens in Manteca at the age of 93.  She was born on January 22, 1917 to Dirk & Johanna Hoogendoorn in Haastrecht, Netherlands.  

Nancy was a loving wife to her husband Jake for over 50 years.  She was known for her crocheting and knitting skills.  She was also known for her cooking and baking skills, with family always looked forward to her baking her Dutch cookies during the holidays.  She was a strong and determined woman who worked hard all of her life.

Nancy is survived by her nephews Ray & his wife Linda Hoogendoorn of Hidden Valley Lake, Richard & his wife Becky Hoogendoorn of Ripon, and Mark & his wife Desiree Hoogendoorn of Manteca as well as many nephews and nieces in Holland & Europe. Nancy is also survived by her brother Karel Hoogendoorn of Manteca and her sisters Wilhelmina Hendriksen, Jacoba Barneveld and Jannie Visser all of the Netherlands.  She is preceded in death by her husband Jacobus Van Duyn, her parents, and her siblings Johanna Van Bemmel, Marie Oosterling, Johan Hoogendoorn and Dirk Hoogendoorn all of the Netherlands.

Nancy’s visitation will be on Tuesday, Nov. 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel.  Her Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m. at Calvary Reformed Church in Ripon, burial will be private for her family.  There is an online guest book available for you to share your memories at www.deeganfuneralchapels.com
