Ray Gonsalez “Mr. RG”, 97, entered peacefully into rest on November 4, 2019 in Manteca. He was born in Kansas City, MO. to the late Lorenzo and Guadalupe Gonsalez. In heaven, Ramon joins his son David Gonsalez and grandson Jeff Gonsalez.
    He leaves behind his adored wife of 68 years, Carmen Gonsalez of Manteca;  his children, John Gonsalez of NM, Bill Gonsalez of Manteca, Ray Gonsalez Jr. and wife Wilma of Manteca, Teresa Gonsalez McNeese of Stockton, Rex Gonsalez of Manteca, Linda Gonsalez of Manteca, Paul Gonsalez of Manteca, Fred Gonsalez of Stockton and Nancy Gonsalez Perata and husband Gary Perata of Stockton. He was blessed with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
     Ray was a lifetime Manteca resident. He served his country proudly through the US Army during WWII. After his service, he worked for a short period at a cannery in Hayward. His hard work and dedication would pay off, as his dreams of becoming a business owner would come true. Shortly after RG Trucking was in full force. Ray would own and operate RG Trucking for over 60 years.
     Through the years, Ray kept his faith close to his heart always giving credit to “The Man Upstairs”. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and along with his loving wife Carmen, served in many church ministries.
     Ramon loved his family dearly and lived to see the fruits of his hard work and love be inherited to his family.
     He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be deeply missed.
     P.L. Fry is honored to serve the Gonsalez family. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary/Vigil at 6:00 p.m. at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. Mass will be Thursday, November 14, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 East North Street, Manteca. He will be laid to rest at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, 17871 S. Carrolton Road, Escalon. For condolences to the family, please visit our website at www.plfryandson.com, search obituaries.
