Robert Clay Croxton, known to most as “Bob,” passed away on February 26, 2024.  Bob was born on October 9, 1937, in Tracy, California.

   After graduating from Tracy High in 1955, he began a 37-year career in banking at the Bank of America. In 1968, he took his talents across the Pacific to the Bank of Hawaii. In 1975, he returned to California, serving The Bank of Stockton until he retired in 2006.  He was a sports enthusiast; however, golf was his true passion. He was an early member of the Tracy Golf & Country Club and more recently the local SIRs group.

   Bob was a family man at heart and cherished raising his children Bob Jr. and Julie with their late mother, Carol. In 1995, he married Greta, gaining two step-children; Erica and Kristoffer.

Bob leaves behind a devoted family, including his loving wife of 29 years, Greta Croxton; children Robert Croxton Jr., Julie Carson, Erica Hoyer, and Kristoffer Arestol; 11 grandchildren;

and five great-grandchildren.    He is preceded in death by parents, Elijah and Bonnie Croxton and siblings Darla and William.  His absence is deeply felt, but his sense of humor, tenacity, and wisdom will live on through his

loved ones. They take solace knowing he is somewhere on a golf course, bloody Mary in hand.

    A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on March 30, 2024, at the Croxton home in Tracy, California from

2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
