Robert Ramirez, age 76,  beloved husband, father and grandfather, of Stockton, California, passed away February 27, 2023 after a long illness. Born on November 1, 1946, in Merced, California, to the late Antonio and Virginia Ramirez.

   He attended Calla and Manteca High, Class of '66, belonging to many clubs.  Robert loved sports, excelling in wrestling, baseball and football.  His love of sports continued into adulthood, playing football at Delta College and coaching youth sports for many years, including coaching baseball and Pop Warner Football.  He found pride in coaching for both the Stockton Vikings and Manteca Cowboys, helping to take the Cowboys to State in 1977 and 1978. Robert continued to play baseball and wrestle as an adult.  He enjoyed singing, dancing, camping, fishing and spending time with family.  Robert was a war and plane history buff.

   Robert was proceeded in death by siblings, Francis, Arthur, Antonio, Dora, Carolina and Danny.

   He is survived by a brother, Richard, wife, Kathy, Sons; David (Ida), Paul, Robert (Rose) and Michael, daughters, Samantha (Saul), Michelle (Julio), and Christina, 23 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

   P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the Ramirez family. Services will be held at P. L. Fry Funeral Home in Manteca on March 13th, at 10:00  a.m, followed by internment at East Union Cemetery and a Celebration of Life at the VFW in Stockton.
