Roy Donald Tinnin, 97, born on July 14, 1918 in Waterford, CA, entered into rest on November 7, 2015 in Stockton, CA.
  He is survived by his wife of 76 years Clara Velma McMurry Tinnin, children Raymond Tinnin (wife Carole), and Margaret Ann Williams (husband Rick). In addition, he was blessed by three grandchildren Louella, Dana and Nancy as well as, eight great-grandchildren.
Mr. Tinnin was known to family and friends as “Donald”.
  He was a resident of the Lathrop area for 97 years and graduated from Manteca High School in 1936. He proudly served his county through the United States Navy where he was a veteran of WWII. Donald retired after 35 years of service at Sharpe Army Depot as a Diesel Locomotive Mechanic. Throughout his life-time he was involved with many organizations in the Manteca/ Lathrop area; Boy Scouts, 4-H, Morning Star Masonic Lodge and the Stockton Scottish Rite Center. Donald was an avid hunter and photographer as he was dedicated to preserving old historical photographs of Lathrop and Manteca as well as family photographs.
  P.L. Fry is honored to be serving the Tinnin family. A service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. held at P.L. Fry & Son, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, followed by a graveside service at East Union Cemetery, 1035 N. Union Rd., Manteca.
