Steven Robert McCleary, born April 11, 1959 in Stockton, CA, entered into rest on June 4, 2012 in Manteca, CA. He was 53 years old. Steven was preceded in death by his parents Robert Ewell McCleary (R.E.) and Josephine “Jo” Ann Goodin (McCleary-Copeland) and Claude Goodin as well as his one grandson Zechariah Eugene Reese.

Steven is survived by his two sisters; Joann McCleary and Janet Mulneaux. He also leaves behind two daughters,Tabatha Reese (Derrick) and Tamara Moyer and one granddaughter Faith Reese. He has an extensive extend-ed family who he loved; sisters; Vivian Rinker (Bob), Janice Feland (Don), brothers; Larry Goodin (Kay), and Bill Goodin (Nancy). In addition Steven has numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces.

Steven was known as Steve and Stevie by his family and friends. He attended Manteca High School. He enjoyed car racing, fishing, camping, cooking and assembling model race cars. He was an excellent painter; painting many businesses and homes throughout the central valley for over 38 years. He was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Manteca. He was a regular attendee at the Stockton Speed-Way 99 where you could find him always socializing with other fans. Steve was the rock of his family always taking care of others and supporting his sisters, nieces and nephews in any way possible. He will be remembered for his love for racing, his strong-will and his loving heart. He will be missed.

P.L. Fry & Son is honor-ed to be serving the McCleary family. Avisita-tion will be held on Wednesday June 13, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm held at P.L. Fry 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca. Amemorial service will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. held at First Baptist Church 715 E. North St., Manteca.
