Virginia Cordova Diaz, 65, entered into rest on February 28, 2012 in Manteca. She was born on February 1, 1947 in Hanford, California. She is preceded in death by her father Nicolas Miguel Lopez.

Virginia leaves behind her mother Aurelia Cordova Diaz of Corcoran. Her loving children are; Santos Salazar of Ripon, Rufus Salazar and wife Frances of Manteca, Gregorio Salazar and wife April of Exeter, Martin Salazar of San Jose and Jorge Martinez of Visalia. She was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. In addition Virginia has 2 surviving siblings; Chano Diaz of Corcoran and Herman Diaz of Corcoran.

Virginia worked at a real estate office in Manteca for over 7 years. She was an avid shopper always looking out for her next treasure. Virginia would spend hour’s window shopping, a talent that only few people could accomplish. She had a true heart of gold, giving and warm.  She loved her family dearly and would look forward family get-togethers.  She was an amazing mother and grandmother. She will be missed dearly.

Arrangements for Ms. Diaz are under the direction of P.L. and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. A mass will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 11a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 East North Street followed by a visitation at P.L. Fry and Son from 1pm to 5pm.
