Walter Martin Edgerley Sr., 87, entered into rest on January 1, 2012 in Stockton, California. He was born on Christmas 1924 in Indiana to the late Mr. and Mrs. Ray and Lilly Edgerley. He joins his parents in heaven as well as his wife Ida Edgerley and his siblings Idabelle Clark and Leon Smith.

Mr. Edgerley is survived by his only son and daughter-in-law Walter (Butch) Edgerley and Fran of Pleasanton. He was blessed with two grandsons Michael Joseph Edgerley and David Martin Edgerley. He has 3 great granddaughters Marrissa Tideberg, Nicole Edgerley and Madison Edgerley. In addition Walter has two siblings Robert Smith of Florida and Lorretta Hildebrandt of Wisconsin. He also leaves behind his partner and best friend of almost 9 years Sandra Graf of Manteca.

Walter was a barber for over 40 years owning several of his own shops in the San Leandro area. He was a member of Shiners, Rotary Club of San Leandro, Chamber of Commerce San Leandro, and The Moose Lodge both Manteca and San Leandro where he was past Governor and earning his Fellowship degree. He was also a 32 degree 50 year member of the
Masons. Walter was very social. He loved family functions and making new friends in his community. He was an avid sports fan always cheering on the Oakland A’s and the San Francisco 49ers. Walter will be remembered for his giving spirit and his love that he had for his family and his community.

P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Edgerley family. A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at The Manteca Moose Lodge, 1185 N. Main Street, Manteca, CA 95336.
