William Allen ‘Bill’ Sanborn, 82, of Riverbank died Wednesday, Nov. 11 at Memorial Hospital, Modesto.

He was born in Alberta, Canada. He lived in Riverbank for more than 17 years.

Mr. Sanborn was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

He was the retired Advertising Director of the Ceres Courier. He was an avid golfer and traveler. He was a member of the Eastridge Community Church of the Nazarene, Modesto, and also of the Ceres Rotary Club. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Sally Sanborn of Riverbank; son, Ken (Mary) Sanborn of Oakdale; daughter, Cinda (Brian) Porter of Modesto; grandchildren, Teresa and Travis Sanborn of Oakdale, and Austin and Taylor Porter of Modesto.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 20, at Eastridge Community Church of the Nazarene, 2300 E. Briggsmore, Modesto.
