Tracy scored first Friday night but the Bulldogs were not ahead for long as Manteca bounced back quickly but needed two fourth-quarter touchdowns to pull away for a 48-27 non-league junior varsity win at Guss Schmiedt Field.

Krys Charles (4 of 7 passing, 141 yards) had a pair of touchdown passes with to Alejandro Tornero with one of 69 yards and another of 23 yards. Victor Martinez (11 carries, 101 yards) had a 21-yard touchdown run, Aidan Nicolas (10 carries, 63 yards; two receptions, 49 yards) scored on a 2-yard run and Calvin Ramsey added a 12-yard touchdown run. Javier Flores got the other Buffaloes score when he recovered a Bulldogs fumble in their end zone set with a strip by Javier Flores.

David Vega was in on six tackles for Manteca.   

East Union 14,

Vanden of Fairfield 12

The Lancers defense rose to the occasion helping neutralize three lost East Union fumbles at Dino Cunial Field.  

East Union got both of its touchdowns in the first quarter on a 7-yard scoring run by Lane Cefalu and a 45-yard touchdown pass from Jesus Gomez (2 of 4 passing, 58 yards) to Carlos Alvarez. Jonathan Castaneda chipped in 32 yards on seven carries.

Cefalu (interception) and Nevin Gonzalez each had six tackles and Carlos Alvarez (fumble recovery) added four stops.

Sierra 21, Lathrop 7

Daniel Covarrubias tallied 106 yards on eight carries for the Timberwolves at Bennie Gatto Field. 

Sierra’s Adrian Ochoa (10 carries 40 yards) and Sebastian Davis (five carries, 20 yards) each added a touchdown.

The Timberwolves defense held the Spartans to 80 yards of offense behind four sacks and two forced fumbles. Jacob Martinez led Sierra with six tackles, Aydan Horn (forced fumble) added five stops and Lorenzo Reyes had four stops and a 25-yard fumble recovery. Covarrubias, Christian Theadgill and Adrain Ochoa each had a sack.

Weston Ranch 38, Buhach Colony of Atwater 36

ATWATER – Rogelio Ruvalcava spotted Fidel Pits with a touchdown pass with 10 seconds remaining in the game to secure the win for the Cougars at Falcon Stadium. 

Aaron James (174 yards rushing) had three touchdowns for Weston Ranch and Nacho Gonzalez (84 yards rushing) added one touchdown.

Calaveras of

San Andreas 22, Ripon 7

Calaveras returned an interception 30 yards for a touchdown with 1:30 left in the game to cap a 15-point fourth quarter at Stouffer Field.

Korey Budde scored on a 3-yard run in the second quarter to give the Indians a 7-0 lead.
