Ripon Christian boys net 8 3-pointer to over- power Turlock Christian

Eli Terpsma netted 27 points Saturday to pace Ripon Christian High past visiting Turlock Christian in non-league action, 70-46.

He also connected on four 3s – RC, as a team, delivered on eight treys, including three by Luke Crivello (nine points).

Coach Mark Hofman credited his team’s balanced offense for the win.

Jace Beidleman added 12 points and 10 rebounds, with Derek Van Elderen netting seven for the Knights (6-4), who jumped out to a 17-3 first-quarter lead.

Case DeJong was Turlock Christian’s top scorer with 15.

East Union 56, Bear Creek 46

The Lancers (8-4) captured the consolation game of the West Holiday Tournament.

They finished 2-1 in the three-day event in Tracy.

East Union coach Dutch Ell called it a “huge victory.”

His team was locked in defensively in the third, holding the Bruins to just four points in the third quarter.

Dylan Lee was top scorer for the Lancers, scoring 23 points coupled with nine rebounds. Anthony Sy had 13 points and six boards while Alex Cervantes posted nine points and nine rebounds in the victory.

Stevenson 58, Ripon 56

The Indians (2-6) closed out the Argonaut Playoff Preview tournament over the weekend with a tough loss to Stevenson of Pebble Beach.

They’ll travel to Patterson today for a non-league clash.

GIRLS

Ripon 36, Central Catholic 32

The Indians (5-4) closed out the Patterson Tournament with a hard-fought win Saturday over the Raiders (2-11).

Clutch free throws in the end helped secure the victory – Kailee Inderbitzin iced it by sinking a pair and sophomore Shayla McKeon buried four free throws and came with key rebounds down the stretch.

Senior Gabby Delgado earned all-tourney recognition. She and Inderbitzin both scored nine points in the win over Central Catholic.

Grace Mikami chipped in with seven. Peyton Garrett of the Raiders led all scorers with 21 points.

“We played three close games this weekend in Patterson,” said Ripon High coach Rick Inderbitzin. “It was nice to be on the winning end.”

Sierra 42, Ceres 25

The Timberwolves (4-5) rolled past Ceres in the Livingston Tournament. They went 2-1 in the three-day tourney.

East Union 3, Mountain House 1

The Lancers (12-2) scored three times in the first half, holding off host Mountain House on Saturday.
