Ripon dominated visiting Lodi in a three-game sweep (25-10, 25-14, 25-17) Wednesday.

“This was a complete team effort and the best we have played as all season long thus far,” Ripon coach Adrienne Beltrami said. “We are a tight knit group and you could feel it all three sets tonight.  I could not be more proud.”

Breana Barios and Samantha McCreath each pounded nine kills, while Jacqui Uecker and Shannon Wesley added five apiece. Setter Lauren Weibe anchored the balanced attack with 24 assists. Sarah DeFreitas recorded three service aces.

“Lauren Weibe set a great match tonight and I am very proud of her court presence and all of her hard work,” Beltrami said.

Leading the defense was Karisa Carlson with six blocks. Emily O’Brien racked up 15 digs, while Ashlyn Eisenga contributed eight for the Indians (9-4), who have won three in a row.

Ripon wraps up its nonleague schedule next week with matches at Modesto and at home against Tokay on Monday and Wednesday, respectively. Trans-Valley League action opens with a tough one against Hilmar.
